William is an author, composer, and pilgrim of the mythic path. He created GrailHeart after profound tragedy struck his family as a teenager. Finding that philosophies, theologies, and self-help books were insufficient to address his sorrow, he turned to story and music. He began creating stories to make sense of things and music to say what words could not. After sharing them and finding that they helped others, he built GrailHeart as a refuge, compass, and lantern for the long road.

A musician since the 5th grade, Dave plays guitar, bass, keyboards, saxophone, drums, and sings. He currently lives in the Chicago area with his wife and kids. Abhishek Desai, MD, is a board-eligible general surgeon and a graduate of the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson surgical residency program. His clinical practice focuses on robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery and emergency general surgery. His research is centered on applying emerging technologies to solve clinical problems, specifically developing regulatory policy for autonomous surgical robots. He is a graduate of Boston University's Seven-Year BA/MD Liberal Arts/Medical Education (SMED) program, where he studied linguistics and medical science. Mindful Toad is a writer, uncle, 5K runner, minimalist, and bookkeeper. A Michigan native, he is moving back to Grand Rapids. He traveled extensively from 2013 to 2017, visiting locations such as Thailand, Spain, and Mexico. He lived in Miami Beach from March 2020 to September 2023 and Greenville, SC, from November 2023 to November 2024.
